Over the years, thanks to the blooming peach blossoms, the local homestay, catering, and agricultural businesses have witnessed fresh rises. Many villagers said that when the peach blossoms bloom, visitors find it hard to secure a hotel room to sleep in or a table to have meals at here in the town.

In recent years, relying on the peach industry, Shangping Town of Lianping County has launched tourism activities such as photography, camping, and hiking but to name a few. By offering tourists the most rewarding and excellent experiences, the town continues attracting more people to its peach forests, promoting the local economy.

草长莺飞时，河源市连平县上坪镇进入了“桃花季”，数万亩桃花竞相绽放，随山势起伏绵延百里，游人蜂拥，络绎于途，成为当地一大胜景。

多年来，依托这盛开的朵朵桃花，当地的民宿、餐饮、农产品销售等也得到了极大的发展。不少村民表示，随着桃花的盛开，当地客房已一房难求，而在当地就餐也几乎一位难求。

近年来，连平县上坪镇还依托桃产业，积极推出摄影、露营、徒步等观光旅游活动，让游客乘兴而来乐在其中，带旺桃林景点，推动经济升温。
