Art and Culture | After eight months of selection, uation, training, and filming, nine short films produced by the Yangcheng Evening News Group and supported by the 2024 Maritime Guangdong Young Director Support Program are about to meet the public. With the theme of "Backflow", the program invited nine groups of young directors to create films that tell contemporary small-town stories. The shooting locations cover Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Qingyuan, Jiangmen, Zhanjiang, Jieyang, Shantou, and other places, aiming to explore the unique charm of the Lingnan region through images.

During the program from December 19th to 23rd, the nine short films will be screened for the public for the first time, showcasing the new perspective of Chinese young directors' film creation to Paris. #MaritimeGuangdongShowcase 经历八个月的选拔、评审、培训和拍摄，由羊城晚报报业集团出品、山海计划扶持拍摄的九部短片即将与公众见面。本届计划以“回到小镇”为主题，九组青年导演延续了华语电影创作传统中对“小镇”的关切，用更当下的视角讲述当代的小镇故事。短片取景地遍及澳门、广州、深圳、佛山、清远、江门、湛江、揭阳、汕头等地，以影像发掘岭南大地的独特魅力。

在12月19日至23日举行的“山海展映季·巴黎”活动期间，九部短片将首次面向公众展映，为法国观众展示中国青年电影创作的新气象。
