On January 14th, the first day of the 2025 Spring Festival travel rush, Guangzhou South Railway Station planned to operate 455.5 pairs of trains and expected to handle 462,000 passenger arrivals and departures. The station held a series of activities in the waiting room, including a lion dance, acrobatic performances, and 16 calligraphers writing spring couplets and the character "Fu" (meaning blessing and good fortune) for passengers to express their best wishes for travelers. 1月14日，2025年春运正式拉开帷幕。当天广州南站计划开行列车455.5对，预计到发旅客46.2万人次。广州南站在三层候车室举办春运首日系列文化活动，除了有舞狮、杂技软功等节目，现场还有16名书法家挥毫为旅客送上春联和福字。
