Its facilities now support large-scale production of high-capacity turbine components. In a recent milestone, the park rolled out a 108-meter blade designed for 8-MW offshore turbines, marking an important step in China’s development of high-efficiency, next-generation wind technologies.
What sets the Dongying hub apart is its investment in advanced testing and certification infrastructure. State-level platforms for blade testing, powertrain uation, and structural reliability have been put into operation, enabling manufacturers to shorten development cycles and accelerate delivery to domestic and overseas markets. Industrial leaders say the ability to conduct full-process testing in one location significantly enhances competitiveness.
The industrial park has attracted more than 30 major projects, with total investment exceeding RMB 28 billion. Many international suppliers and technology partners are exploring cooperation opportunities, leveraging Dongying’s strategic location on the Bohai Rim, its port advantages, and its expanding logistics capabilities. Officials note that the city aims to become a “mother port” for offshore wind equipment—an integrated manufacturing, testing, and export base serving markets across Asia, Europe, and emerging economies.
