The Cantonese version of the official theme song for the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games was released on December 8.

Titled "Towards the Vast Ocean", the song was written and performed by Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau, in collaboration with a youth choir from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The official theme song's release coincides with the Games being held from December 8 to 15. This is the first time the event has been jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Andy Lau has a long-standing connection with the disability sports community. In 2007, he created and performed "Everyone is No. 1," an inspirational song for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

The 2025 Games feature 46 major events, with competitions taking place in various cities across the region.
