The cross-regional cultural and sports exchange program that gathered 70 teenagers from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions (SARs), and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region entered its second day on August 17, with a full day of cultural discovery in Kashgar's Shache County.

The group of cross-regional students gained firsthand experience of Xinjiang's rich heritage through visits to the Twelve Muqam Art Center, where they encountered the intricate melodies of this UNESCO-recognized Uyghur musical tradition, and Kazanqi Old Town's vibrant artisan workshops.

The day concluded with a spirited bonfire gathering in the Taklamakan N39° Desert Park,, where students from all four regions joined local performers in traditional dances under the stars.
