Art and Culture | On the evening of February 3 (the sixth day of the first lunar month), the annual "Torch Festival" folk parade was held in Yangmei Village, Pandong Subdistrict, Jieyang City. The Yangmei Torch Festival originated from the local ancestors' respect for Jie Zitui in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. Every year on the sixth day of the first #lunar month, villagers parade around the village with torches, praying for good fortune and wishing for a prosperous life. 2月3日（正月初六）晚，揭阳市揭东区磐东街道阳美村举行了一年一度的“火把节”民俗巡游。阳美火把节源于当地先民对东周介子推的崇敬，至今已有300多年历史。每年大年初六，村民们举火把绕村巡游，祈求好运，祝愿生活红红火火。
