Art and Culture | On February 14, Nanling Village in Guangzhou was bustling with activity, welcoming the 2025 Lantern Festival and Lion Dance Cultural Festival. More than 60 lion dance teams in 25 groups, coming from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan and Hong Kong, came to celebrate the Lantern Festival, bringing good fortune to all the villagers. The custom of celebrating the Lantern Festival on the 17th day of the first lunar month in Nanling Village has been going on for 30 years. It is not only the grand finale of the village's New Year celebrations but also an important emotional bond that rallies the villagers and preserves their nostalgic memories. 2月14日农历正月十七，广州市白云区龙归街南岭村热闹非凡，迎来了2025年贺年宵暨醒狮文化节。同时，来自粤港澳大湾区包括广州周边地区友好村以及佛山、中山、香港等25支狮队共60余头醒狮前来助兴，为全村居民群众贺元宵、送福气。据悉，南岭村正月十七闹元宵这一传统习俗延续至今已有30年，不仅是该村欢庆新春的“压轴大戏”，更是凝聚村民向心力、留住乡愁记忆的重要情感纽带。
