On April 20th, 2024, the "2024 Maritime Guangdong Young Director Support Program" (hereinafter referred to as the Maritime Guangdong Program)kicked off. With the theme "Backflow,"the program called for short film scripts from young Chinese directors worldwide.

In August, nine selected directors set off to various locations in Lingnan to begin filming, creating their own images of small towns.

From December 19th to 23rd, the Maritime Guangdong Program will bring nine short films to Paris for their first public screening.

Small towns have always been a cultural symbol of Chinese-language cinema on the global stage. Amidst the tide of change, how do China's new generation of creators grasp and reconstruct the ever-changing contemporary small towns? These nine short films will provide the answers.

从岭南小镇到巴黎的距离有多远？

2024年4月20日，2024“向山海走去”青年导演创作扶持计划正式启动。以“回到小镇”为题，面向全球华人青年导演征集短片剧本。

8月，九组入选导演奔赴岭南各地开启拍摄，构筑属于他们的小镇影像。12月19日至23日，山海计划将携九部短片到达巴黎，首次进行公开展映。

小镇一直是华语电影走向世界的文化符号。身处浪潮之中，中国新生代创作者如何把握和重构变化万千的当代小镇？这九部短片将给出答案。
